About Furrever Friends

We are small... but mighty. Every animal saved is a victory.

Furrever Friends Rescue and Volunteers, Inc. (FFRV) is an all-volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit that strives to save the lives of homeless animals.

Furrever Friends operates entirely on donations from caring individuals such as yourself. And, because Furrever Friends is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, your cash donations are tax-deductible. Checks can be made out to "Furrever Friends."

Our volunteers work hard to:

  • Provide safe, loving care in private homes until a furrever family can be found (known as "foster care".)
  • Spay/neuter and vaccinate pets prior to adoption to help control the pet overpopulation problem.
  • Find new, "Furrever Homes" for animals only after carefully screening potential adopters.
  • Raise funds through special events and projects to cover veterinary and food costs.
  • Fund emergency medical care to injured or abused animals in the FFRV program through "Geronimo's Fund".
  • Showcase homeless animals at various venues to help find them homes, including our PetSmart Adoption Center in Deptford, NJ.

We are a "No-Kill" Organization

We do not euthanize any of the animals in our care simply to make room for new ones.

Although our operation is small, each and every homeless pet in our program receives the absolute best care possible until a "Furrever Home" can be found.

Through our adoption centers and foster homes, we provide a safe environment for the cats in our care until they are adopted.

Geronimo's Fund

Our fund for animals that come to us needing emergency attention ... you can help by donating!

Tiny and trusting, Geronimo was snatched up by some teenagers in later July ... and then horribly abused. Tossed into the air repeatedly only to fall to the ground, Geronimo survived long enough for a kind samaritan to see what was going on and rescue him. The little tabby kitten found his way to us and we quickly rushed him to our vet's office as an emergency case.

Geronimo has been adopted and is safe in his new home. However, we'd like to start a fund for animals that come to us needing emergency attention. Geronimo is not the first, nor will he be the last, abuse case we handle and take in to heal and love until a permanent home is found. Please remember Geronimo and the animals like him that suffer at the hands of foolish people ... and know that you can help us make a difference.
