Deptford, NJ - 9/2/09: Five friendly house cats were found abandoned. They inhabited a small patch of bushes and poison oak behind a strip mall. Trash was everywhere. The cats were too traumatized to allow anyone to pick them up, so volunteers spent four late nights to humanely trap them. Volunteers survived a curious skunk, a black widow spider, RATS?and poison oak exposure?but they captured all five! UPDATE - 11/16/09: Fostered in Haddon Heights, NJ
Five year old Sealy was one of those abandoned cats. He is now thriving. A handsome, tailless puffball, Sealy has become Mr. Purrsonality. He is very outgoing and curious and will love to be near you. He will try to get your attention by rolling over for a belly rub or look up at you with that expressive face of his and asked to be picked up and held. Or, he just may jump on your lap. He also delights in your cupping your hands around his face and rubbing his cheeks. Perhaps shy at first, he will warm up to sweet-talkin' and kindness. He is one of a kind--often comical. And did you notice his tailless butt? It's almost as cute as his face.
Check out photo of his buddy Foster, also one of the abandoned cats. Sealy and Foster both love to pal around together. Foster is also up for adoption---he has his own page, too. Check it out.
