Xena - warrior princess cat. She is a beautiful cat - probably a Maine Coon mix about five years old.

We're not sure what Xena's beginnings were, but she came into our lives in the spring after we received a call for help about a stray cat outside an apartment complex. Off we went and boy was this a smart cat. It took us several weeks to catch her. She was so furry she looked like a cross between a cat and a raccoon. We took her to the vet and discovered she was already spayed, and while covered in some horrible mats, she was healthy. She was partly shaved, got her shots and came back to our house to recouperate and to put on some weight.

Xena is not for the faint hearted. Xena is fiesty. She does not like other cats and would be best as an only cat. She should not be in a home with children. She is definitely not a lap cat and she has to take time to trust you. She enjoys being brushed but will let you know when she has had enough.

Xena is not for a novice cat owner. With time we believe she will blossom. We have seen her change from a defensive cat into a cat who seeks attention. We know this placement is going to be hard, but we believe the right person is out there for Xena. Are you that person?
